Biography
Lloyd Sachs, Adjunct Professor, English and Creative Writing, is author of the critical biography T Bone Burnett: A Life in Pursuit (University of Texas Press) and editor of/contributor to Bill Forsyth: Interviews (University Press of Mississippi). He was a film and jazz columnist and editorial writer for the Chicago Sun-Times, crime fiction columnist for the Chicago Tribune, host of the podcast聽Sachs and the Cinema (and the radio segment of the same name), and cohost of the jazz program Writers Bloc. He was senior editor at No Depression, media columnist for the Chicago Reader, and has written for many other publications including Kirkus Reviews, Rolling Stone, The Village Voice, DownBeat, the Los Angeles Times, The Washington Post, and JazzTimes.听
